How to hunt

There is NO secret word to solve. The quarry is a moving target — you win by cornering it: burn words to wall off its escape routes, then strike.

• It looks like Wordle — but after each guess the answer may flee one step along the word ladder (one letter changes, e.g. SHARE→SHORE→STORE).
• Colors are judged against where the quarry stood at the moment you guessed. Old clues rot — the word may have moved on.
• Every word you guess becomes scorched earth: the quarry can never stand on it or pass through it again.
• The host is a cheat, honestly: it keeps every word consistent with its answers alive and only commits when you leave it exactly one hide.
• Unlimited guesses. Your score is how few it takes to corner it.

Strategy: guessed words become walls — herd it into a dead end. When the trail gets warm, the fresh tracks panel (🔍) shows every hide left.
